This is TGSS 2020 Love Letter #2!
Oh boy, invite responses have been coming in thick and fast! Thank you to everyone for your patience as we sort out the tournament structure.
DON’T FORGET THAT RESPONSES FOR FIRST ROUND INVITES CLOSE COB TOMORROW 7/2!!!!!
We’ve received emails from teams that missed the first round, and from leagues that are hoping to send more than one team. We plan to send second and subsequent round invites out every Friday until the tournament is full, so hold tight and check that inbox after 5pm!
Once this process is finalised, we’ll send out information on the tournament structure before publicly announcing seeding a little closer to the tourney.
On the topic of seeding – TGSS 2020 divisions and pool allocations will be guided by the rankings on Flat Track Stats. We encourage you to ensure that your league’s bout history is all up to date by the 31st March 2020, as we will be looking at the rankings after this time. When we say ‘guided’ by these rankings, what we mean is that we reserve the right to fiddle with things a bit, to try and ensure we don’t have neighbouring teams in the same pools, to account for merges, attrition, etc. Please contact the tourney crew if there’s anything you would like us to take into account.
The other thing to look out for once our tourney teams and structure are locked in is… the CHALLENGE BOUT EOI! It just wouldn’t be a TGSS without em, right?! We’ll be sure to let everyone know as soon as the EOI is ready.
Official Bizness…
All registration emails will be sent out to officials by Feb 14th. If you don’t receive an email and you registered as an official, please contact us asap on tgssofficials@adelaiderollerderby.com. We do have a few NSO spots left to fill so please get in contact with us if you’d like to join the officials team!

We’re feelin’ pretty good today, and for those who have made it this far into the love letter, we want to make you feel special too. How? We want to share with you this special little treat.
THE TGSS 2020 MASQUERADE BALL AFTER PARTY!! That’s right, our big weekend finalé will see us all don some masks and party into the wee hours of Monday night! Held on site at TGSS, the after party will be held on Monday 8 June, featuring special guest DJs, food trucks and much more. Don’t have a mask, don’t worry! We have you covered with a DIY Mask station which will operate from the Bout Village all weekend.
